The prestigious Ritz-Carlton hotel chain, announced plans to open a Ritz-Carlton in 2016 in the Pearl Island, a private island 45 miles south of Panama City. This new hotel will consist of 80 rooms and will be billed as a luxury hotel.

The complex will offer the “Signature Suite”, a complex of independent private villa along the coast.
The new Ritz-Carlton is located in a lush area in the Gulf of Panama, and will be accessible only by boat, helicopter or plane through a private airstrip, surrounded by pristine beaches and tropical forests with native flora and fauna. The 3,500-acre private island is the Las Perlas archipelago’s third largest and is a region rich in biodiversity.
