The Old Town in Panama will count with the concept of “boutique hotels”, characterized by providing personalized attention and five star service, but from a home experience. This format of hotels already exists in Panama, specifically in El Valle de Anton, where is located the Hotel Los Mandarinos Boutique and Spa.
* Three new brand boutique hotels will be build in Old Town between 2015 and 2016.
* The new hotel will be located on 8th Street, next to the Palacio de las Garzas, will be the Marquez de Portago Hotel, which is built at a cost of US $ 500,000.
* The pre-opening of the first hotel Márquez de Portago be held during the next carnival, while the official opening will take place during Holy Week.
The Old Town, which in recent years been restored to improve the country’s image and attract more tourists, now have a new hotel. Only missing details that culminate building a new hotel, Márquez de Portago, which is built at a cost of US$ 500,000, although the owners are already planning to build two new hotels in this area, with the same specifications and the same services. These two new hotels are planning to start operations during 2015 and 2016, with a joint investment of US$ 1,000,000.

Maru Galvez, owner and founder of the company Casco Hospitality Group (CHG), explained that have several business units within the company, among which include the boutique hotel, aimed at a market segment that seeks personal attention and a home, but with five star services experience.
The name of the first hotel was chosen because of the name of the building where it is located, which is one of the oldest structures in the Old Town. Within the structure, there is an observation tower built of stone masonry (stone together with mortar) and dates from 1800.
