The many restaurants that now has Panama, makes many other cities remain small relative to the cuisine of the city. Mexican Restaurants, Peruvian, Colombian, Mexican, Greek, Italian and many more, have become a major attraction for the country in the last five years.

* The Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) said the number of visits increased from 6.9% to 7% compared to 2013 and is expected to reach 15% before year’s end.

* The gastronomic variety of Panama is extensive, with more than 180 national and international cuisines, among which are Japanese food, Peruvian, Chinese, Spanish, Mexican, Colombian, Italian, among others.

* The areas with more located restaurants are: San Francisco, Bella Vista, Costa del Este, El Cangrejo, Punta Pacifica, Casco Antiguo, Obarrio, Banking Area and Causeway.

Panama has become a country that attracts not only for its tourism, beaches and shops, but also its cuisine has increased considerably, to the point that the country is positioning itself as one of the best in culinary art of the region.

According to information published by the information portal Panama America, and according to statements by the administrator of the ATP, Jesus Sierra, there is currently in Panama over 180 different culinary varieties for which no doubts that the country can become a point of gastronomic offer reference to Latin America. Panama is one of the few countries where you can have Chinese food for breakfast, Peruvian food for lunch and Thai food for dinner, Sierra, announced that they have already begun discussions on the subject, with the Association of Restaurants and Allied Panama (Arap), said brings together over 300 restaurants in the country.

Importantly, the cuisine is not limited to the city, but has also spread to the countryside, where can already get Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Peruvian food, among others.
